Let me first talk about my favourite solution, which is Enomek. To give you a small introduction to the Enomek solution, it is an app solution that allows you to add any device to Apple HomeKit. It provides thousands of plugins and step-guides allowing you to add your Alexa devices to Apple HomeKit.

How I Used Enomek for Alexa HomeKit
- Install the Enomek app.
- Select your preferred ecosystem and click on Add to Home.
- Select your preferred solution.
- Select your preferred operating system and follow the rest.

ATH Bridge
The ATH Bridge is an amazing method to create integration between Alexa and HomeKit. To give you a brief explanation, the ATH Bridge is pre-flashed and a specially compiled server designed for HomeKit integrations. It was very easy to set up my Alexa HomeKit and operate, too!
Matter Hub - Aeotec SmartThings Hub

You can use a Matter Hub to connect Alexa to HomeKit as well. I personally chose the Aeotec SmartThings Hub. Let me explain,
The Aeotec Smart Home Hub supports Matter and acts as a Matter controller and Thread border router. It can bridge Matter compatible Alexa devices to HomeKit by first integrating them into the SmartThings ecosystem, then sharing them with the Home app via Matter. It is a pretty simple setup for Alexa HomeKit.

How to Use the Matter Hub for Alexa HomeKit
- Pair with Alexa device with the Aeotec Smart Home Hub using the SmartThings app. Add Device > Matter.
- In the SmartThings app, generate a Matter setup code for the device.
- Open the Apple Home app, tap Add Accessory and use the SmartThings-generated code to add the device to HomeKit.
- The device remains controllable via Alexa if already set up in the Alexa app.

To give a brief overview of the Alexa Matter relationship, there are a few Alexa devices that are compatible with Matter. Below are a few of these products:
Apple HomePod (1st/2nd Gen) or HomePod Mini
These are Apple’s native Matter controllers and Thread border routers, allowing seamless integration of Matter-compatible Alexa devices into the Home app. They support Wi-Fi and Thread-based Matter devices, which many newer Alexa devices use. This is also another amazing way for Alexa HomeKit but it is rather on the expensive side for me.
How to Use Apple HomePod for Alexa HomeKit
- Ensure your Alexa device is Matter certified (check for the Matter logo or firmware updates).
- Open the Apple Home app on your iPhone or iPad, tap the + icon and select Add Accessory.
- Scan the Matter QR code on the Alexa device or enter the numeric code manually.
- Assign the device to a room and configure it for Siri control.
- To add the same device to Alexa, use the Alexa app, select Add Device choose Matter and enter a new setup code generated from the Home app (under Device > Settings > Turn On Pairing Mode).

Apple TV 4K
This is for models such as 2021 or 2022, 128GB for Thread support, it acts as a Matter controller and for the 2021 and 2022 128GB models, a Thread border router. It integrates Matter compatible Alexa devices into HomeKit, similar to HomePod.
How to Use Apple TV 4K for Alexa HomeKit
It is the same as HomePod.
- Use the Home app to scan the Matter QR code or enter the numeric code from the Alexa device.
- Generate a new code in the Home app to add the device to the Alexa app for dual control.

- Ideal if you already use Apple TV.
- Supports remote access and automation.
- Thread support on newer models.
Cons
- Thread support is limited to specific models.
- Not all Alexa devices are Matter compatible.

How to Connect Alexa to Control Apple TV
There are a few methods to connect your Alexa to Apple TV to control the Apple TV.
Control Apple TV with Alexa through Bluetooth
- Navigate to the Apple TV settings.
- Tap on Remote and Device > Bluetooth.
- Next, open the Alexa App on your phone.
- Go to the Devices tab and press All Devices.
- Select the Alexa device you want to pair and tap on it.
- Select Bluetooth devices and click Pair and new devices.
Control Apple TV with Alexa through Wired Connection
- Navigate to the category.
- Click on Audio and Audio.
- Select the Default Audio Option.
- Select TV Speaker.
- Connect cable to Alexa Echo and TV port.
- Find the audio option within TV setting.
- Switch off TV’s speaker.
Control Apple TV with Alexa through Hub Based Remote
I will be using a Harmony Hub.
- Download the Harmony Hub app.
- Find Add Devices.
- Skip this step if you can see your Apple TV: Go to the search tab, type the version of the Apple TV and enter account details for your Apple TV.)
- Create an Activity and input the voice command on the Harmony Hub to turn on your Apple TV.
- To enable Alexa to access the Apple TV, make an activity list by turning on the TV > setting the input > connecting the audio > save.)
- Lastly, say the trigger phrase to enable action.
